====== Shopkeepers ======
Shopkeepers and other established businesses accept Banking Guild notes. Nilgiri's player-facing shops lean on an auction-style market rather than a fixed sticker price for every item — see also [[codexeconomy|Codex: Economy]] and [[bankingguild|Banking Guild]].

Bring a Banking Guild note (or enough account funds via note debit) when you buy, bid, identify, or list goods.

===== List =====
At a shopkeeper, ''list'' shows current auctions and sales with item ids, prices in ''gc'' (gold coins), and offer counts.

===== Value =====
Ask the keeper to ''value'' an item you carry before you auction it. The whisper explains listing cost and any refundable minimum-price deposit.

===== Auction (sell) =====
Hand an item to the shop with ''auction'' (or related sell phrasing your client expands). You may set an asking price and an optional minimum. Service fees are debited from your note / account.
