Weather
Nilgiri has varying weather. The years have seasons and are somewhat predictable. Weather affects the comfort of the clothing being worn as well as some spells.
Checking the weather
Outdoors, weather describes the current conditions for your zone. Indoors or in no-weather rooms, the command tells you that you are not outdoors. The date command also mentions the weather when you can sense it.
> weather It is afternoon and it is raining. > date It is 15th Day of the Month of Harvest, Year 234. It is raining. >
Conditions
Zones track precipitation and temperature. Typical outdoor descriptions include states such as:
- cloudless / cloudy
- drizzle / rain / pouring
- flurry / snow / blizzard
- humid / sweltering
- cold / freezing / frigid
Moving indoors or under shelter changes what you feel (for example, taking cover from rain or coming out of the cold).
Seasons
Game months carry wetness and cold biases, so weather trends shift through the year. Month names and calendars are covered under Game Time. Real-world clock display is under Real Time.
Magic
Spellcasters who learn Control Weather can nudge conditions toward cooler, hotter, wetter, or dryer targets. Details (mana, forms, degree) live on the auto-generated spell page — see Control Weather rather than duplicating those tables here. Severe weather can include lightning that strikes outdoors creatures.
Comfort and clothing
Game Law notes that weather interacts with how comfortable your worn clothing feels, and that some spells care about conditions. Dress for the climate of the region you explore; city and wilderness zones do not always share the same sky.
